Valencia midfielder Ruben Baraja will be out for at least a month due to injury, club doctors have confirmed.
The Spanish international had to be replaced after just 36 minutes of Valencia's UEFA Champions League game against Internazionale on Tuesday.
It is the third time Baraja has been sidelined by injury this season in what has been a frustrating campaign for player and coach.
Quique Sanchez Flores will now have to do without the 31-year-old for decisive games both in La Liga and Europe over the coming weeks.
Prior to being substituted, Baraja had looked bright as Valencia advanced to the quarter-finals on away goals.
