Valencia have reportedly renewed their interest in French starlet Yoan Gouffran.
The highly-rated striker, who plies his trade for Ligue 2 side Caen, turned his back on offers from across Europe during the summer.
Chelsea, Auxerre, St Etienne and Valencia were all believed to be tracking Gouffran's progress before he opted to sign a new three-year contract with Caen in July.
Valencia have continued to monitor him though, and scouts from the club have given positive feedback to sport director Amedeo Carboni.
However, French trio Lyon, Bordeaux and Marseille have also been linked with Gouffran, who has scored eight goals in 17 matches this term.
