Valencia goalkeeper Santiago Canizares is looking to stay with the club "for many years", claiming the club will offer him a contract extension in December.
The veteran custodian's current deal expires at the end of the season, but he insists he is ready to pen a new one at The Mestalla.
The 36-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down and is delighted Valencia have placed their faith in him.
"Luckily for me, the president promised both me and my agent that he would offer me a contract extension in December and we will not be listening to any other offers until we have listened to Valencia," Canizares explained.
"The last few times I have spoken about my renewal I have simply said there has been no contact, that was until last week when my representative met with the president and it was a positive development to know that the club will continue to count on me in the next few seasons.
"I want to stay and the club want me to stay also."
