Edu is predicting an improved season at Valencia following an injury-ravaged campaign.
The former Arsenal man missed a large slice of the 2005/06 campaign after suffering a serious knee injury in pre-season training.
Edu did feature towards the back end of the season, although the year was basically a write-off for the Brazilian.
The 28-year-old is putting the disappointing season behind him and is now looking to prove his worth to the Mestalla club.
"I am convinced that this season will be better than the last," said Edu.
"I'm in perfect condition. I want to forget about the injuries and demonstrate I'm ready for the team.
"I believe the team this year is superior to last season. The signings are excellent."
