Valencia midfielder Libero Parri insists he wants to stay at the club this season rather than spend another campaign out on loan.

The 23-year-old has played for Albacete on loan for the past two seasons and enjoyed an impressive campaign in the club's return to the Spanish top-flight last season.

The skilful midfielder has also had loans spells at Numancia and Elche, but now wants to settle at Valencia - even if he is not guaranteed to be a first-team regular this year.

"Going out on loan is not something I plan," Parri told Valencia's official website.

"At this moment I do not want another exit, I've spent many years moving from one city to another with different team-mates and teams, my intention now is to play in Valencia. I want to stay here.

"I know the competition in Valencia is very high but it's certain that the replacements are also very important and must be performing their best."

Meanwhile, it is believed that Valencia are close to completing their third Italian signing this summer with a deal for Parma's Emiliano Moretti almost finalised.

The 23-year-old full back is understood to have agreed terms with the reigning Spanish champions and looks likely to sign a five-year deal.
