Real Zaragoza defender Cesar Rebosio will quit the club in the summer after failing to agree a new deal.
The Peruvian international is out of contract at the end of June and now seems certain to leave on a free transfer.
Zaragoza were hoping to keep him at the club, but they could not agree a deal to extend his stay.
Rebosio admitted he would have liked to have stayed, but will now look at his options.
"My time in Zaragoza has ended, I will not continue playing for this team, my relationship with this club is great but my agent has told me that my time in Zaragoza has come to an end and I must respect this decision," said Rebosio.
"Now Carlos Delgado, my agent is analysing other offers."
Looking ahead to his country's World Cup qualifier with Uruguay, Rebosio knows they face a tough test.
"We know how good the Uruguayan players are and how well they play so we will have to be very concentrated," added Rebosio.
