THE SPANISH disciplinary committee have decided to step in to investigate allegations of racism during the Malaga versus Alaves game on Sunday.

Malaga won 1-0 but the game was tainted by claims made by Kiki Musampa over the abuse he received from Alaves' Italian defender Fabricio Coloccini during the match.

Musampa claimed that Coloccini called him a 'black s**t' and the committee were particularly displeased given that similar allegations were made by the Dutch player against Real Zaragoza Junaele, and Las Palmas' Angel Lopez.

An official statement from the disciplinary committee said: "We need to find out if there is substance to the allegations made against the three players from the information available."

If the players are found guilty they face long bans and adding to the furore, Musampa said: "He (Coloccini) called me a black s**t.  It has never happened to me in a football ground before I arrived in Spain.

"It is necessary to stop these things.  I pardon them but will not forget.  When someone insults you for the colour of your skin it is too much.

"I understand that people will insult me from the crowd, but fellow professionals should have more sense."
