Jose Mourinho believes his Real Madrid team deserved their last-gasp 3-2 victory over Manchester City at the Bernabeu.
"But it was a good match not just for the people that love football but also the people that study football because it was a complete match - it was a match with a big history." The dramatic turnaround was much needed for Mourinho as his side have made a dismal start to their defence of the Spanish title - losing to Getafe and Sevilla already this season. He added: "I am happy because I can say to my players now that if you give absolutely everything and that if you believe to the last second then you can (win). This was my team of last season. "We cannot play like we did we did in Seville at the weekend or in Getafe two weeks ago. "This is Real Madrid - this is the history of Real Madrid - and that is why I was so happy."
