Real Madrid defender Pepe is targeting trophies as he believes Jose Mourinho's side are now the best team in the world.
The Brazil-born Portugal international believes that Mourinho's side have overtaken Barcelona as the strongest outfit, despite the Catalans currently being Spanish and European champions.
Real currently sit third in La Liga - two points behind Barca but having played a game less - while they top UEFA Champions League Group D, winning all three games and scoring eight times without conceding.
Pepe hailed the start by the side and believes they are strong in all areas - from attack to defence.
Strong squad
He told bwin.com: "We have a very strong squad and our forwards are proving that they are the best because we are the best team in the world.
"I hope that they continue like this and that we can go on and win many trophies.
"The young age of our defenders can do so much for Real Madrid. This may turn into one of the best defensive lines the club has had.
"We are in good form. It is not just our defence that is doing a good job, it is also the midfielders and forwards too."
