Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has rejected rumours linking him with a move for Tottenham's Gareth Bale.

Real chief happy with Marcelo

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has rejected rumours linking him with a move for Tottenham star Gareth Bale. Reports in Spain and England have suggested Mourinho is keen to lure the Wales international to Santiago Bernabeu. Bale has been earning reviews since the second half of last season after establishing himself as a key member of Harry Redknapp's side. The former Southampton youngster has been a revelation since being utilised as a left winger rather than a left-sided full-back with his performances attracting the interest of a host of Europe's top clubs.

Linked

Mourinho has been strongly linked with a move for Bale, but the Portuguese tactician insists he has no plans to move for the Welshman as he is happy with Marcelo's impact at Real. "Madrid are constantly being linked with this player [Bale] and that player but I want to say that I do NOT want another left winger," Mourinho told Spanish television station Gol T. "Marcelo now has offensive quality and defensively he is growing. "I didn't like anything about Marcelo when I arrived because I thought he could do everything but defend but now I am a lover of his."
