In-demand Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery has rejected claims that he wants to leave the club for Real Madrid.
Reports in Ribery's native France quoted the midfielder as saying he wanted to join big-spending Real this summer and would not move to anyone else.
A host of Europe's top clubs have been linked with the former Marseille man with Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea all credited with an interest in the 26-year-old.
Bayern Munich are determined to keep their prize asset and Ribery has moved to ease tensions at the club by insisting he will not rock the boat at the Allianz Arena.
"I feel misunderstood, I never said I desperately want a transfer to happen, "Ribery told Munich daily tz.
"They were not my words and I don't understand the public discussion that has occurred.
"I do not want to be in disagreement with Bayern Munich. I would really like to resolve things.
"We do have to wait if there is an offer coming and then sit down and talk. I do not want to say anything wrong right now."
