Real Madrid have confirmed Argentine midfielder Fernando Gago will join the club in January.
Gago's present side Boca Juniors revealed earlier on Thursday that terms had finally been agreed for the 20-year-old.
The youngster has been tracked by Real for some time, and the Spanish giants have now acceded to Boca's demands.
Boca are expected to receive ‚é¼20million (£13.5million) for Gago, who will sign a six-and-a-half year contract at the Bernabeu.
Real confirmed a deal was in place for Gago to arrive in the Spanish capital once the January transfer window opens.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Real and Boca have agreed a deal over the transfer of Fernando Gago.
"The player will sign until June 30, 2013."
Gago will be presented to the media on Friday and has signed a similar length deal to that of Gonzalo Higuain, who was shown off on Thursday.
Higuain is arriving from Boca's fierce rivals River Plate, while Brazilian youngster Marcelo is also joining Real.
