Guti has ended doubts about his future at Real Madrid by following Roberto Carlos in signing a new contract.

Brazilian full back Roberto Carlos committed himself to the Spanish titans last week by agreeing fresh terms at the Bernabeu.

Roberto Carlos' new deal keeps him in Madrid until 2008, with the option of a further 12 months.

Now Guti has joined the defender in signing an extension after agreeing a contract with Real until 2010.

There had been fears the midfielder could be on his way out of the club after talks regarding an extension stalled.

But Real confirmed the duo's decision on Monday, with sporting director Predrag Mijatovic delighted Guti and Roberto Carlos are staying.

Mijatovic told the club's official website: "We are very happy, first because they are going to remain with us for more years and second because they are both playing very well and that is good for everyone."
