Romanian international Cristian Chivu has reiterated that he has no desire to leave Roma, whilst revealing he is currently engaged in talks regarding a contract extension.
The 25-year-old has again been linked with a move to Real Madrid when the January transfer window opens, after finding his name mentioned in conjunction with the Spanish giants constantly over the summer.
Speculation has been rife that former Giallorossi coach Fabio Capello will look to raid his old side for the accomplished stopper, but Chivu says he has no intention of quitting Stadio Olimpico.
Indeed the Romanian star is so at home in the Eternal City that he is currently talking with the club about a possible contract extension.
"I have never got offers nor have I ever said I will quit," said Chivu.
"I don't know why each time the market opens this happens.
"I am staying here and at the moment I'm negotiating for a contract extension with the club.
"I feel really good in Rome and I have lived here for three fantastic years, they have given me the possibility to express myself on a high level.
"I feel I am indebted to Rome, to the team and with the supporters."
