Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano will not be returning to Italy this summer, his agent has insisted.
The 23-year-old has struggled to make an impact since arriving at the Bernabeu in January, scoring only one goal in ten appearances.
Speculation has been mounting that Real officials are not satisfied with his performances and are ready to sell or loan him, but agent Giuseppe Bozzo has dismissed the rumours.
"Antonio will stay in Madrid," he said. "They are satisfied with him and Antonio is totally committed to them.
"He has a five-year contract and wants to respect it. In talks with Real we have never heard anything about a sale back to Italy."
Bozzo also played down suggestions that Cassano's future would be decided by the new Real coach.
"He will stay in Madrid whoever the coach is next season. Antonio has a contract until 2010."
