Iker Casillas still believes Real Madrid can reach the Copa del Rey final.Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas still believes his side have a chance of progressing to the Copa del Rey final despite their 6-1 humbling at the hands of Real Zaragoza.
Real put on a woeful display as they were put to the sword by Victor Munoz's side and now appear to have lost any chance of progressing from the two-leg semi-final.
However, Casillas, who was left hopelessly exposed by his defence time and again on Wednesday night, insists all is not lost if Los Merengues can find their very best form of seasons gone by.
"It's hard to leave for Madrid having lost 6-1, but everything worked out perfectly for Zaragoza," Casillas stated.
"It's the first time in my life I have conceded six goals in an official match.
"We prepared with real intensity for this match because we knew how they would play, but it was not to be.
"By contrast nothing worked for us, but everyone has to take the blame for that.
"Now we have to forget about it and think about the return leg.
"It is still possible to get through, I honestly believe so, but we have to play like the Madrid of the past."
