REAL MADRID and Espanyol are believed to have reached an agreement over the transfer of Alberto Lopo, the Barcelona club's young defender.
According to TV3, Lopo will move to Real at the end of the season with David Aganzo possibly going in the opposite direction.
Aganzo is already playing on loan at Espanyol, although the deal could see them acquire his rights. Lopo made his debut in the top-flight in 1999, and has a contract that runs until June 2004.
The buy-out clause for the defender is currently set at just 1,500 million pesetas, although Lopo stated that he did not know anything about Real's interest: "I am proud to be eyed by such a great club. Anyway, I am focused on Espanyol."
