INTERNAZIONALE are set to listen to offers for Argentine ace Javier Zanetti, a decision that is sure to alert Champions League holders Real Madrid.
The right-sided defender`s future has been clouded for some time; Zanetti is content with life in Serie A but has long held a desire to play for Real.
The Santiago Bernabeu club are admirers of the Argentine international but Michel Salgado is the number-one right back in coach Vicente Del Bosque`s team.
Salgado was dropped earlier in the season, but has won his place back after clearing the air with Del Bosque.
In March, Inter official Luis Suarez said of Zanetti: "They [Real] have been looking at him for several years, but I see difficulties in him going, because Inter have a very high valuation of the player."
Inter, though, may have changed their stance slightly, and any lowering in his valuation may prompt Real to contact the Giuseppe Meazza.
Inter have been mulling over a move for Real striker Fernando Morientes for a number of weeks, and it could be that a swap deal may be proposed.
Both Morientes and Zanetti are not seen as vital to their respective teams, which could result in a deal being brokered.
