Striker Frederic Kanoute has confirmed Russian giants Anzhi have made a bid for his services but insists he will not be leaving Sevilla in the January transfer window.
The experienced ex-Mali international, who has been at the Primera Liga side since 2005, has caught the eye of big-spending Anzhi, prompting them to table an offer.
But the 34-year-old cleared up the speculation over his future at a press conference on Wednesday, insisting he is going nowhere next month.
"I have decided to stay on at Sevilla," said Kanoute. "I'm positive that I will not leave the club in the January transfer market.
"It is true that I have received an offer from Anzhi but via my agent. I have not spoken to anybody at the Russian club."
Kanoute insists he is fully focused on Sevilla's visit of title hopefuls Real Madrid on Saturday evening.
He added: "Now I'm thinking only of the next La Liga match against Real Madrid and that it will be very difficult."
