Enzo Maresca called Santiago Canizares' professionalism into question after seeing his penalty saved by the Valencia goalkeeper in Sevilla's 2-0 defeat at the Mestalla.
Maresca had the chance to equalise David Villa's 27th minute opener when Jesus Navas was tripped by Miguel before half-time, but Canizares tipped his spot-kick onto the post.
Villa then slotted home a penalty of his own after 50 minutes to clinch the points for Valencia, but Maresca was left fuming by Canizares' attitude.
"Canizares is not a professional on the field because he has not shown respect," he told the Spanish press.
"This attitude is not a positive for me.
"After the penalty he has given me a look of satisfaction and also at another moment when I shot from far out.
"This is not the first time this has happened with Canizares.
"In football today players are professional and these situations are not necessary."
