Both Sevilla and Real Zaragoza have appealed against the five-game bans meted out to Luis Fabiano and Carlos Diogo following their astonishing on-pitch fight last weekend.
The two South Americans exchanged a series of furious blows during injury-time at the end of Zaragoza's 2-1 win over the league leaders.
Both men, who each scored for their sides during the game, were shown red cards and the Spanish league took quick and severe action following the incident.
Despite publicly apologising after the match, the duo were handed five-game bans.
However, both Sevilla and Zaragoza have now launched appeals to see the punishment reduced.
