Holders Sevilla booked their passage into the last 32 of the Uefa Cup with a comprehensive win at Grasshoppers, while AZ Alkmaar also joined them in the knockout stages.
Daniel Alves proved to be the key figure on the night as he netted a fine brace in the 4-0 win.
Alves opened the scoring on 12 minutes, but it only served to whet the appetite as he netted a long-range thunderbolt on 53 minutes to knock the stuffing out of Grasshoppers.
Javier Chevanton added a well-taken third just past the hour and Blanco Kepa put some gloss on the scoreline when heading home on 84 minutes as the holders flexed their muscles in impressive style.
AZ were made to work hard, as they twice had to come from behind at home to Liberec.
Tomas Zapotocny and Petr Papousek twice had the visitors ahead, but goals from Gretar Steinsson and Julian Jenner ensured AZ joined Sevilla on seven points ahead of the meeting between the two in December.
Liberec could still qualify if Braga fail to beat Grasshoppers in their final game.
