Fredi Kanoute says Sevilla have trained their sights on securing a place in next season's UEFA Champions League.
Sevilla have built on last term's momentous Uefa Cup success, as only Barcelona sit above them in La Liga after 12 games of the campaign.
Juande Ramos' side have also moved into the knockout stages of the Uefa Cup, but former Tottenham striker Kanoute has his sights trained on a bigger stage.
"That (reaching the Champions League) is what we are trying to do," he told Sky Sports' Revista De La Liga.
"We have started better than last year and we were first until last week and I think we can do better.
"The players know each other and we are getting better. But there are big clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid who are going to fight for the title and if we can arrive behind them then it will be the Champions League."
