Uefa Cup holders Sevilla picked up their first win in Group C with a 2-0 victory over Braga.
Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano made the crucial breakthrough for Sevilla five minutes before the break.
Ernesto Javier Chevanton made sure of the win for the home side with the second goal 14 minutes from time with his first goal for the club.
The win lifts Sevilla into second spot in the group and leaves them well placed to reach the last 32 of the competition.
Slovan Liberec boosted their Uefa Cup hopes with a 4-1 win over Grasshoppers in Group C.
Jan Blazek set the home side on their way with the opener after just seven minutes, but their lead proved short-lived with Roland Schwegler levelling matters two minutes later.
Tomas Zapotocny restored Liberec's lead on 21 minutes and Petr Papousek added a third on 68 minutes.
Tomas Frejlach completed the victory with Liberec's fourth in the final minute.
The win was Liberec's first in the group, while Grasshoppers remain rooted to the bottom of the table with no points from two games.
