The goalkeeper is coming to the end of his deal at Valencia and has decided to move on after seeing his demands for improved terms turned down.
He has agreed a four-year contract with Sevilla and will become new manager Juande Ramos's first signing.
The 31-year-old, who was forced to play second fiddle to Santiago Canizares at Valencia, admits he is looking forward to his new challenge and feels he can look back on his time at the Mestalla with pride.
"On July 1 I will leave a big club and join a great club, Sevilla FC, where I am sure I will feel like an important player," he stated.
"I leave Valencia with my head held high, a job well done and satisfied in the knowledge that no-one can discredit me."
