The powerful South American has proved one of the revelations of the Spanish season in his first term in La Liga.
The 22-year-old - who joined from Sao Paulo last summer - has netted 18 goals during a hugely impressive debut campaign, and currently sits fourth in the Pichichi (Primera top scorer) list.
His form has inevitably attracted the interest of clubs all over Europe, and it has been revealed that his release clause stands at ‚é¼36 million (£25 million).
Despite this figure being within range for some of the continent's big guns, Sevilla's director of sport Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo, 'Monchi', insists the club have no plans to cash in on the player.
"Our president (Jose Maria del Nido) has already said that Baptista will be one of the pillars of Sevilla's centenary year (next season) and there should be no more speculation," he told Europa Press.
"The only thing about Baptista that worries me now is that he continues his (goalscoring) run against Valencia.
"I am not going to speak about anything else now because he is not for sale."
Monchi did concede, however, that the club were planning to revise the player's contract this summer in a bid to strengthen his ties to the Primera outfit.
"It's a matter that I have spoken to his agent about some time ago and, at the end of the season, we are going to make some amendments to his contract although they are still not that clear yet," he continued.
"We will talk with his agent, but now is not the time to talk about it in public."
