ATLETICO MADRID midfielder Emerson has ruled out a move to Sevilla, after he was reportedly offered as part of a deal to land Francisco Javier Casquero.

The former Middlesbrough star has featured 30 times for Atletico this season, after arriving in the summer from Deportivo La Coruna.

However, Atletico are desperate for Casquero and earlier this month lodged an offer of ‚é¼3 million plus an unnamed midfielder - now believed to be Emerson.

The Brazilian, though, is not keen on leaving Rojiblanco at this stage.

"The interest from another club is pleasing but I am not thinking about moving," said Emerson.

"I have two years left on my contract and I will try and fulfil them.

"My family is very happy in Madrid and I want to continue."

Atletico have also been linked with a move for Real Sociedad star Valery Karpin, but Emerson was not worried about the rumour.

He added: "It is not a worry, I am a defensive midfielder player and Karpin plays at the other end."
