Dani rages at Antonito

DANI was fuming after Real Betis were beaten in the local derby by Sevilla and accused the victors of unsporting behaviour at the final whistle.

Marcos Vales shocked Betis with a late winner and Sevilla's delight was evident at the final whistle as Antonito kicked the ball high into the stands and gestured to the home fans behind the goal.

"What he did at the end was insulting," Dani raged. "There was no need for that, he was foolish.

"If you have won the match you cannot be happier, so I do not know why he took the ball and kicked it at our supporters.

"The important thing is that they won, Antonito did not need to insult everyone by doing that."

Dani was also upset that after dominating the match, Betis allowed Sevilla to take all the points with only 14 minutes to go.

"If anyone deserved to lose, it was Sevilla," he continued. "We did more than enough to earn at least a draw.

"We created far more opportunities and we were denied two clear penalties, while they did nothing but defend throughout.

"I think a win was far too much reward for the kind of performance they put in."
