SEVILLA have been linked with a host of Brazilian strikers as they bid to bolster their attacking options following the exit on Thursday of frontman Moises to Cordoba on loan.

According to reports, the club's main priority is Corinthians hit-man Fernando Baiano, although they have also been linked with Alex Alves of Hertha Berlin, Liedson of Flamengo and Ricardo Oliveira of Portuguesa.

Moises' (pictured) move to Cordoba has freed up sufficient funds for Sevilla to press ahead with a deal that would see Baiano move to the Sanchez Pizjuan initially on loan for the rest of the current campaign, with an option for a permanent deal after that.

Cordoba will pay ‚é¼300,000 for the loan of Moises, although there is no option to buy the player as Sevilla believe the 31-year-old still has a future at the club.

Meanwhile, Sevilla defender Pablo Alfaro, who was handed a four-match ban earlier in the week for an alleged stamp on Real Madrid's Michel Salgado, has seen his ban reduced by one game.

The RFEF disciplinary committee said they had taken into account Sevilla's appeal - which highlighted the fact Alfaro had been provoked - and that the player would now serve a three-match suspension.
