Injury-hit Real ready for Sevilla

REAL MADRID are likely to be without a number of stars when they entertain Sevilla in their re-arranged La Liga contest on January 2.

Madrid could move up to second in the league, however coach Vicente del Bosque is without the likes of Roberto Carlos, Zinedine Zidane, Raul, Luis Figo and Ronaldo.

With so many of his big-money signings missing Sevilla are eyeing an upset despite the side currently lying 14th in the table with only four wins all season.

The sides had been due to meet last month, however the tie was forced into postponement due to Real's Intercontinental Cup tie against Olimpia in Japan.

Del Bosque could recall Esteban Cambiasso for the clash, however it may be too early for the Argentinian to return from the knee tendonitis he has been suffering from of late.

Fernando Morientes and Guti could well start up front for The Whites, who are looking for their fourth straight La Liga victory.
