Barcelona defender Adriano will be sidelined for no more than a week after pulling a hamstring, the Catalan giants have confirmed.
The Brazilian suffered the injury during Tuesday's 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou after coming off the bench 20 minutes before the final whistle.
Adriano will miss Saturday's Primera Liga match against Levante as well as next Tuesday's UEFA Champions League game at home to BATE Borisov.
"Tests have confirmed that the player has pulled a muscle in his left hamstring," read a statement on Barcelona's official website.
"He will be out for approximately five to seven days, and will therefore miss Saturday's league game against Levante and next Tuesday's Champions League match against BATE Borisov."
Barcelona will also be missing Gerard Pique for the home meeting with Levane due to the central defender being suspended.
Pique has been accused of deliberately getting himself booked against Rayo in order to be sure of missing the Levante clash and therefore guaranteeing his presence in El Clasico away to Real Madrid on December 10th.
However, if found guilty of deliberately forcing the yellow card, the former Manchester United man could be handed an extra one-match ban as well as a €600 fine.
