Barcelona full-back suffers a hamstring injury on international duty
Barcelona full-back Adriano is set to miss up to 10 days with a hamstring injury suffered on international duty.
The Brazilian played the full match in his country's 2-0 win over Gabon last Thursday but missed their win over Egypt on Monday.
The injury occurred during a training session ahead of Monday's fixture and Barcelona have described the problem as a "small tear in the fibres of his left hamstring".
Adriano has played in eight of his club's 11 league fixtures this season and scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Sporting Gijon last month.
It is unlikely that he will be back for the clash against Real Zaragoza on Saturday, but he could make a return in the Champions League trip to AC Milan four days later.
Milan could leapfrog the Spaniards with a win at the San Siro although both clubs are already through to the next phase regardless of the result.
The club said in a statement: "After tests in the medical centre at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, Adriano Correia has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury.
"He is expected to be sidelined for between seven and 10 days, as announced by the club medical services."
