Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has been sidelined for up to two weeks with a calf injury.
The Brazil international was forced off 26 minutes into Sunday's 4-1 win over Malaga and the club later confirmed the 27-year-old has suffered a tear in his right calf.
Alves is expected to be out for 10-15 days, ruling him out of the league games against Racing Santander and Hercules.
He will also miss the second leg of Barca's Copa del Rey quarter-final at Real Betis on Wednesday - although the La Liga leaders hold a 5-0 lead from the first leg - as well as the first leg of the semi-finals should they progress.
Alves has been a key figure in helping Barca reach a league record tally of 52 points at the halfway stage of the season.
However, the former Sevilla man's future is still up in the air after failing to negotiate an extension to his contract, which runs until June 2012.
