Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal has tipped his former club Barcelona to reclaim the UEFA Champions League this season.
The Catalan giants were dethroned as European Champions last year as they fell to eventual winners Inter Milan in the semi-final.
Inter also proved too strong for Bayern, who they beat in the final, but Van Gaal expects Barca to again emerge as the best in Europe.
He said: "There is only one favourite and that is Barcelona.
"Just below them, there is Chelsea, but nothing after that."
Bayern have made a slow start to their domestic campaign, and have just four points from three league games.
However, they begin their Champions League campaign against Roma on Wednesday, in a group that also contains FC Basel and Romanian side Cluj.
And even without the talents of Arjen Robben (injured) and Franck Ribery(suspended), Van Gaal remains bullish of success.
He added: "My team has more quality than last year."
German captain and Bayern full-back Philipp Lahm added: "Other teams are amongst the favourites, but we have a lot of ambition this season and we want to show we have improved since last season."
