Fernando Gago has urged compatriot Javier Saviola to take the chance to join Real Madrid if the opportunity should arise.
Saviola is on the books of Real's arch rivals Barcelona at present and is in a rich vein of goalscoring form having netted five times in his last six outings.
However, his future at Camp Nou is still very much in the air as his contract ends at the end of the season and the Catalans have yet to offer him an extension.
Recent speculation has suggested that Real could make a bold move to land the 25-year-old on a free transfer in the summer, with the player himself acknowledging he would consider a switch to the Spanish capital.
Now fellow Argentine Gago, who joined Real from Boca Juniors during the transfer window, has spoken of his desire to link up with Saviola at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"If he has the chance to come to Madrid I would love it because he is an extraordinary player, an Argentine and would be great for this team" Gago stated.
