France coach Raymond Domenech has assured Ludovic Giuly that he could still force his way back into his plans, so long as he lets his football do the talking.

Giuly played an instrumental part in Barcelona's success last season but was not picked for the World Cup.

He has since voiced his surprise at some of Domenech's selections, and has admitted he fears for his international future.

However, Domenech has insisted: "The doors of the French team are not closed.

"He has to play, and talk less."

Giuly has responded quickly, but showed no sign of listening to Domenech's advice as he reiterated his stance.

"His words mean shut up and play, but I am surprised by his biting words, because I have always showed respect toward him," he said.

"He should understand that he made me miss a World Cup without telling me why.

"Since then I have been sick with worry because I don't know why. I am not a kid anymore. At 30-years-old people can tell me things to the face.

"As long as I don't get any answers from him, I will go on opening my mouth.

"I have always done it and neither Raymond Domenech nor anyone else will prevent me from talking."
