Barcelona defender Oleguer has extended his contract with the Spanish giants until 2010.
The 26-year-old's current deal was not due to expire for a further two seasons but the Catalan club have decided to tie the full back to a new long-term contract.
Oleguer joined Barcelona in 2001 and played the majority of the season with the club's B team before making the step up to the first-team squad.
His first-team debut came in 2002 against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League and Oleguer has since become a regular member of Barcelona's Liga squad.
His impressive performances last season saw him take over the right back role from Brazilian Juliano Belletti and he was involved regularly as Barca picked up trophies both domestically and in Europe.
Oleguer will now remain at Camp Nou for the next four seasons after putting pen-to paper on a new deal over the weekend.
The buy-out clause in his contract has been doubled from é¼30 million (£20.5 million) to é¼60 million (£41 million).
