Ajax have sealed the signing of Spanish midfielder Gabri.
Gabri has penned a three-year deal at the Amsterdam ArenA after leaving Barcelona at the end of the season.
The versatile star arrives on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Camp Nou.
Gabri will link up with former Barcelona assistant coach Henk ten Cate at Ajax and he is looking forward to playing for the Dutch giants.
"I have chosen Ajax firstly because of the coach," Gabri told the club's official website.
"I have worked with him for three years at Barcelona, he knows me well and I know him. He has convinced me this would be a good choice.
"Secondly I chose Ajax because of the history of this club and their level. Ajax is a big club in the world.
"With Ajax we could fight for a title, other clubs couldn't offer that to me.
"As well as that Barcelona and Ajax couldn't be compared. Both clubs have a famous youth academy, talents are educated at a young age to finally play in the first team.
"Also their offensive playing style is almost the same. Because of all these things I think I can adapt very quickly to the club, culture and the football."
