REAL BETIS have made a formal complaint against Barcelona to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The Seville-based outfit are furious that Barca have not made agreed repayments on a deal that saw striker Alfonso join them on loan last term.

Betis took their former hit-man on a season-long loan, but ultimately decided against making the transfer permanent this summer.

As part of the agreement, Betis paid the Catalans ‚é¼2.9 million (£2 million) upfront, half of which was to be returned if a permanent move did not materialise.

However, Barca have not repaid the outstanding fee and their Primera counterparts have now called upon Spanish football's governing body to resolve the dispute.

Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera is pushing for the RFEF to prevent Barca from registering their new summer signings, including Ronaldinho, for the forthcoming Spanish season until the debt has been settled.
