Real extend lead

REAL MADRID extended their lead at the top of La Liga over Real Sociedad following a 4-1 victory over Racing Santander at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spanish giants are now four points clear of Sociedad, having lost just twice in the league all season.
Luis Figo got the ball rolling for Madrid with a goal after 11 minutes from the penalty spot, whilst Zinedine Zindane doubled their advantage with a second before half-time.
The visitors did pull a goal back through Madhi Nafti, however further goals from Javier Portillo and Guti sealed an impressive win.
Deportivo maintained the pressure on the leading pack following the 2-1 home defeat of Villarreal.
Jorge Lopez stunned the Riazor faithful with a penalty on 10 minutes, though Diego Tristan levelled matters on 33 minutes.
Victor then gave the side that never loses at home a goal after 40 minutes, though they did have to survive the late sending off of Cesar.
Elsewhere, Barcelona will have to been disappointed to have been held to a 1-1 draw against Valladolid at Camp Nou.
It was a case of two own goals as Javier Torres Gomez gifted Barca a first-half lead, however Argentinian keeper Roberto Bonano put the ball into his own net in the second to leave both sides with a point.
In the late clash Valencia saw their title hopes take a turn for the worse after a surprise 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.
Despite having the better of the play for much of the match Carlos Aguilera popped up late on and headed the visitors to a famous victory.
