ESPANYOL have laughed off claims by Barcelona president that his side will beat their neighbours 3-0 in the forthcoming derby.

The board of directors of Barcelona's 'second' side stated that as long as they get three points in the game, that is all that matters.

"It does not interest Espanyol what Gaspart has said about us," said an official club statement.

Alfredo Argenso said: "It's more important to get three points than what Gaspart said."

"I speak with Dani (Barcelona striker), who is a good man.  He says they will try to make us nervous but we do not have a case against him (Gaspart)."

Toni Soldevilla added: "He can say what he wants.  But we can win and we will win and it is not necessary to say anything more on the subject.

"We all know Gaspart.  He is a little fanatical, but that's how he is.  We only need to worry about ourselves."

However, Martin Posse (pictured) said: "What is Gaspart's problem?  He does not say anything that interests me."
