Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini admits he would like to play in England and Spain at some stage in his career.

The talented 22-year-old has already been heavily linked with leading sides in the Premier League and La Liga.

Reports suggest that Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring his progress, along with reigning Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

The youngster is also co-owned by Juventus, who snapped him up from Atalanta in 2012, and a return to Turin has also been mooted.

Gabbiadini’s representative has been quick to play down the rumours, but talk of a possible January move has lingered.

The Italy international has now further fanned the transfer flames by revealing that he would be open to taking on a new challenge in the near future.

Gabbiadini told Il Messaggero: “In my mind I have only Sampdoria, but I like English and Spanish football a lot.

“In Italy we must learn from those leagues.

“I’d like to try one of those leagues as it would be a good life experience.”
