Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has hailed Radamel Falcao as the best striker in the world after scoring five times against Deportivo La Coruna at the weekend.
Cerezo was full of praise for the Colombian goalscorer and his success will ensure Los Colchoneros hold out for as close to the player's €60 million buy-out if and when he leaves.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all among Falcao's admirers, but Atletico will be keen to keep him until of the current campaign, at least.
"He is the best striker in the world," the club supremo said.
"It is the first time I have seen one of our players score five. I remember Christian Vieri or Milinko Pantic scoring four, but not five.
"At the current time he is by far the best forward in world football."
