Real Madrid have been dealt another injury blow after striker Gonzalo Higuain was ruled out for up to a month.
The Argentina international suffered a torn hamstring during Madrid's draw with Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League last Tuesday.
Higuain is now expected to miss Primera Liga games against Levante, Athletic Bilbao and Betis, as well as Real's trip to Manchester City in Europe.
Reports suggest the frontman, who has scored eight goals in all competitions for Real this season, will target the home clash against Atletico Madrid on December 1st as a potential date for his comeback.
Jose Mourinho's options up front are now limited as Karim Benzema is also nursing a hamstring problem, with neither striker expected to feature this weekend.
Higuain's injury comes on the back of several fitness problems in Mourinho's defence, with Marcelo, Fabio Coentrao and Alvaro Arbeloa having all recently spent time on the sidelines.
