Hercules striker could return to Italian football

The agent of David Trezeguet has revealed that his client has a '50 per cent' chance of joining Napoli from Hercules. The former France international's future is uncertain after Hercules suffered relegation from Spain's Primera Liga at the end of the season. Trezeguet's representative, Antonio Caliendo, declared last week that there was a lot of interest in the striker. Lazio were among the other clubs to be linked with the 33-year-old but it now seems he could be heading to their Serie A rivals Napoli. "I can say that there's a 50 per cent chance Trezeguet will play for Napoli next season," Caliendo told Naples-based radio station Kiss-Kiss. "We've taken a few steps forward, but you'd have to ask (Napoli sporting director Riccardo) Bigon. "Trezeguet to Napoli would be the cherry on the cake of a big transfer window, but the dice have not yet been cast." Trezeguet has already spent 10 seasons playing in Italy as he represented Turin giants Juventus between 2000 and 2010. He scored 12 goals for Hercules this season, but could not prevent the Alicante side from losing their top-flight status.
