Midfielder Andres Iniesta will sit out Barcelona's trip to Real Sociedad on Saturday after failing to recover from a calf strain.
The Spain international missed Barca's ill-tempered 2-0 win at Real Madrid in on Wednesday and remains a doubt for the return meeting on Tuesday.
It is believed Iniesta is close to a full recovery, but boss Pep Guardiola deems it an unnecessary risk to include him at Anoeta.
"Iniesta has joined the list of absentees because, as the club's medical services announced, he is continuing his treatment for a strained right calf," read a statement on the club's official website.
Meanwhile, captain Carles Puyol, who participated in the Bernabeu victory, is also omitted from the squad as a precaution following his recent return from injury.
