Felix Magath has denied Schalke are in talks with Sevilla over the possible transfer of midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
The 22-year-old's contract is set to expire this summer and he has been a regular under Magath who was installed as manager last year.
Magath, however, has admitted to being frustrated by the player and his representatives as he attempts to open discussions over a new deal.
"We have not received an enquiry for the services of Ivan Rakitic and as long as there is no official bid, I am not going to look into that affair," he told spox.com.
"I am just supposing he was either out to end up signing on with us for a whole lot of money or moving clubs as a Bosman at the end of the campaign."
He added: "I have been trying to thrash out a new contract with Ivan Rakitic since May. He and his agents, however, played a waiting game.
"They keep on putting us off. If he is now saying he wants to talk to a club like Sevilla, then I have to take that as a clear indication that he has no interest in remaining at Schalke."
Rakitic has scored 12 goals in 97 league games for Schalke and has netted just once this season so far.
