Sevilla winger Jesus Navas has been ruled out of action for around 10 days due to an ankle injury.
The Andalucian club announced the Spain international is likely to miss the club's next four games with the problem.
Head coach Gregorio Manzano will have to make do without Navas for Thursday's trip to Karpaty Lviv in the Europa League and the crucial Primera Liga clash at Barcelona on 31st October.
The 24-year-old star been troubled by a fragment of bone in his left ankle.
"After his treatment... it is expected that the player will resume training in around 10 days," said Sevilla in a statement.
The club are currently lying in seventh position in the league following an indifferent start to the season.
