Uruguayan striker released by Sevilla

Javier Chevanton has been released from his contract at Sevilla, paving the way for him to join Lecce. The Uruguayan striker still had a year left to run on his deal in Spain, but has seen that agreement cancelled by mutual consent. He is now on his way out of the Sanchez Pizjuan and is all set to complete a return to Italy. Chevanton is poised to link up with Lecce for a second time, having previously represented them with distinction between 2001 and 2004. Primera Liga giants Sevilla have also confirmed that midfielder Lolo has been given permission to join Osasuna.
