Borussia Dortmund striker Nelson Valdez has agreed a deal to join Primera Liga new boys Hercules.
Valdez had been desperate to leave Dortmund after falling out of favour with coach Jurgen Klopp and he had been linked with Sunderland.
Reports emerged over the weekend that the Paraguay international would join Hercules and Valdez expected to resolve his future within a fortnight.
A move has now been arranged quicker than that timeframe and the 26-year-old will be presented as a Hercules player on Wednesday.
"I've signed the contract," said Valdez.
"The documentation is done and tomorrow is the official presentation in Alicante.
"Now, I'm one more (member) of the Hercules first-team squad."
